How Radiation Treatment Cure Tumors And How My Faith Keeps Me In My Blue Ribbon Journey!
Our awesome God gifts me his awesome Cancer specialist Doctor Jorge Ignacio and on top of his good heart, He grants me another awesome Radio Oncologist Doctor Vicente Francisco Hizon Chairman of Radio Oncologist at Perpetual Hospital. They were able to help me have a possible remedy to relieve my pain, improve the quality of my life, and maybe by God's grace it can kill my Cancer DNA cells on that certain painful tumor on my abdominal muscles.
Today is my 56th Birthday and it's my 35th Radiation Treatment day here at Perpetual Hospital in Las Pinas. It's my Graduation Day. I personally ask Radio Oncology Doctor Vicente Francisco R. Hizon, MD. if I am already a candidate for graduation today and with a confident smile He answered me YES! You will graduate today you've finished your remedial class and today is your graduation day here at LINAC. I finished 35 days of radiation on my Right Rectus Abdominis Mass (Radiation 25 days / 200 daily dose/total of 5000 and Boost 10 days / 200 Dose/total of 2000.)
Let me thank you, again Doctor Vicente Francisco Hizon, for your best, honest planning and effort to give me the best remedy to ease my pain and cure certain parts of my body in the best way and process you truly desire for all your patients to be safe and be healed. I trust you from the very start even without knowing what is radiation really all about, I decided to give all my trust and confidence in you because I see your good heart above all. The way you explain the process makes me calm down especially when I asked you if I could use the Aloe Vera plant in my garden and you disagree with it right away because it's for hair volume purposes unless I want to have thick hair on my abdomen. Hahaha!
All treatment went well for us like I used to say "So far, so good!" It's an honest dedication to come religiously on a daily schedule to meet the success of our effort and to my surprise, I was able to finish the required 35 days divided into 5 straight days in a week. By God's grace, I was able to recover my body energy considering that I have my regular chemo on top of all these.
Thank you so much, Doctor Vicente Francisco R. Hizon, MD.

Chemotherapy, or “chemo,” uses special drugs to shrink or kill cancer cells. Radiation therapy, or “radiation,” kills these cells with high-energy beams such as X-rays or protons. Intensity-Module radiation therapy (IMRT) is a treatment for cancer, the uncontrolled growth and spread of cells to surrounding tissues like my case it was metastasis to the muscle of my Abdominal Wall (Right Rectus Abdominis Mass).
There is no amount of joy to knowing that I successfully finish the desired radiation treatment that a certain tumor needs to be killed. My treatment is a combination of (IMRT and EBRT) Radiation Treatment and it was a gift of blessing from above that my body was able to handle and finish the treatment with tolerable discomfort and minimal side effects which I was able to reverse to a positive one. It's just a matter of body adjustment and then after 10 days or two weeks of this daily procedure, my body already adjusted to the radiation. "Inaaral ko rin ang katawan ko, meron din akong self study and observation on how my body will cope with the treatment." If you are praying about it God is working on it.
June 12, 2021, Start of My New Protocol!
Thank you, so much Saint Ezequiél Moreno y Díaz
for the blessings and guidance and
to our awesome Cancer Specialist
Doctor Jorge Ignacio, Medical Oncologist,
Chairman of the Cancer Institute at UP-PGH
Cancers have different behaviors, my regular target chemo Avastin and Capecitabine work very well on my liver tumors and more than half of the tumors on both lobes of my liver are going to more than half decrease. But the Cancer travels to another community and this one is painful but now after the radiation no more.
Let me thank God and Doctor Jorge Ignacio again for entrusting me and for submitting me to a palliative treatment using IMRT Radiation for my Abdominal Wall metastasis. Life is short, I wish to face God that I did what is best for my body because I trust his way and glory that He is with me in this battle and He will never forsake me. It was a tough time for me, Tony, Andreij, and my family again. After all, I give it all to Jesus, King of Mercy whom I entrust and continue trusting his best way for me.
After our family meeting with my Oncologist for the possible remedy to the painful thing on my Rectus Abdominis. We schedule our meeting with Doctor Hizon, He explained clearly to me and to my family everything I need to know and understand the many possible things to happen during radiation. As I normally do, I always silently asked God's blessing and permission, in the silence of my heart I can feel calmness and serenity. Yes! From the day of our family appointment with my Oncologist up to the day I met Doctor Hizon I said I will follow my heart and this will lead me to the answer. The turns of events give me clear signs and follow after another. "Tuloy ang laban mga kapatid!"
Let me share this significant event to add to my story of how I increased my faith that God and my Angels are with me. On our way going home from our family meeting with Doctor Ignacio, we randomly check the Tent at C5 South and saw a beautiful Church named Santuario De San Ezekiel Moreno. They said it was closed but I insist the church doesn't close completely. My heart says it's open and I want to go inside. Ate Malou join me and from afar she said it was close, I told her no I can see the side door is partially open, she wanted to take the side hall but I insist that the front door is open, so we go up using the front stairs and a security guard approaches us right away. Then a man sitting nearby the door remember my sister and call her "Maam Malou, do you still remember me?" And my Ate Malou said yes of course and mentioned his complete name. The man was very happy and offered his goodwill to any assistance he might extend to us. Then my sister told him our intention. To our surprise, he is the Sacristan Mayor of the Church and asks the guard to allow us to go inside and bring us to St Ezekiel Relic. How wonderful to know that the church has a relic on that day for us to see and seek prayer and blessing to please bless my Doctors, nurses, and my coming Radiation treatment to be effective and not bring harm to my body. I and Ate Malou recite the prayer together as we both touch the relic.
The wisdom is in my heart, and I am at peace as I continue working to start my new treatment I was able to find a good person Mr. Ruel Zacarias, LINAC Supervisor to inquire about our many concerns about the treatment cost and its procedure. Time is precious to consider my pain it is an urgent need. Thank you, so much, Mr. Ruel Zacariaz for the best help and explanation of everything we need to know and understand and for the best result considering our goal.

Lord God, grant us the blessing of a united and loving family,
keep us safe from any harm and away from any viruses. Amen!
How long after stopping radiation can you continue to see tumor shrinkage?
This is a complex question. The first point to be made here is that, with the exception of spermatozoa and lymphocytes (among the two most rapidly dividing cells in the body), cancer cells die what is called mitotic death. This means that the cell dies when it attempts to divide. So, if a cell does not divide, then it does not die, but just sits there. At the same time, if a cell doesn't divide, it also cannot grow and spread.
The second issue is how the tumor appears on a radiology scan after radiation. As the tumor cells die and break up, the body's white cells clear the debris and cause an inflammatory process, like a bruise.
This inflammatory reaction can make the mass look larger, but this does not necessarily reflect tumor response or growth. These inflammatory reactions usually subside over time, but it may take a few months to see this on a CT scan or even up to a year on MRI. PET scans can indicate tumor activity, but can also show inflammation, so are also not generally accurate in areas treated with radiotherapy until several months have passed.
In summary, some types of tumor cells shrink very quickly, and this shrinkage can be seen on a radiology scan. Even if no shrinkage is seen right away, cells may still be dying in response to radiation, sometimes causing an inflammatory response that can even make a mass look larger! Over time after radiation, your oncology team will be watching scans to ensure that tumor masses either shrink or stay the same on CT or MRI scans. A PET scan can be used after radiation to detect residual or recurrent tumor activity.
What is IMRT used for?
IMRT is used at MSK most often to treat prostate cancer, head and neck cancers, lung cancer, brain cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, and breast cancer, in part because these tumors tend to be located close to critical organs and tissues in the body.

With your love, concern, and kindness I can see God's love and blessings.

I and my family moved together to get our PCR Test and submit myself to another kind of CT Scan for the planning procedure and many more. Waiting time is so hard for me because the pain is really terrible. After more than a week they already set a schedule for my treatment.
On July 7, 2021, Tony and Andreij were with me, for the 2nd meeting with Doc Chito Hizon, and right after that meeting, I was already scheduled for the 1st day of the treatment. It was really a miracle treatment. Just after the 4th day I already felt the pain lessening. And on the 4th day of my treatment together with my 1st check-up with Doc Hizon, God gifts me with another kindness and the team decided to upgrade my treatment to the highest quality version of radiation. After 4 days at EBRT, I was transferred to IMRT treatment onward.

What is IMRT treatment, it is a type of 3-dimensional radiation therapy that uses computer-generated images to show the size and shape of the tumor. Thin beams of radiation of different intensities are aimed at the tumor from many angles. This type of radiation therapy reduces the damage to healthy tissue near the tumor.
What is the full meaning of palliative?
A palliative is a drug or medical treatment that relieves suffering without treating the cause of the suffering. A palliative is an action that is intended to make the effects of a problem less severe but does not actually solve the problem
What happens to a tumor after radiation?
When the damaged cells die, they are broken down and removed by the body. Radiation therapy does not kill cancer cells right away. It takes days or weeks of treatment before DNA is damaged enough for cancer cells to die. Then, cancer cells keep dying for weeks or months after radiation therapy ends.

My Personal and Spiritual Views:
If we are sick, we ought to have the boldness and confidence to ask for healing. Jesus heals miraculously now as He did then.
Physical healing is Jesus’ most common miracle. Were those events specific to that place and time? Undoubtedly, yes! They were part of Jesus' ministry of signs and wonders, which pointed to Himself as the Messiah with the authority to restore creation (Matthew 11:5).
So can miracles like that still happen today? Undoubtedly, yes! God does not change (Malachi 3:6). The God of the Bible is the same God we worship today (Hebrews 13:8).
According to God’s sovereign purpose, He may not heal everyone or every type of sickness. But God favors His children (Psalm 84:11), and, like a good father, He delights in giving His children what they need (Matthew 7:11). If we are sick, we ought to have the boldness and confidence to ask for healing! Jesus heals miraculously in extraordinary ways.
The physical healings in the Bible are almost all dramatic, supernatural, and instantaneous. Blind people see (John 10 and Mark 10:46-52). Lame people walk (John 5:8 and Mark 2:9). Leprosy vanishes (Luke 17:8-19 and Matthew 8:1-4). Bleeding stops. (Mark 5:25-34).
Healing is always a gift of God’s grace. God endows some individuals with the spiritual gift of healing, but healing remains an act of God’s sovereign goodness and mercy working through that individual (1 Corinthians 12:9).

God may indeed answer prayer for healing, but a miracle never depends on anything we or others do or say, nor even the amount of our faith, or anyone else’s.
Jesus heals miraculously in ordinary ways. Much physical healing today occurs through the practice of medicine, but that does not mean God is uninvolved.
Whether by prayer or by medicine, we are participating with God in the miracle of His grace for healing. Treatment works because God made it work. Refusing medicine is as faithless as refusing prayer.

Even the ordinary wisdom and discipline of taking care of our bodies, such as eating well and exercising, can yield dramatic, miraculous results. In my case, almost all the pain and limitations from my Rectus Abdominis Mass damage were relieved at the end of a grueling radiation rehabilitation process. I believed I could be fully physically restored, but I also had to act as if I was, even when I can still feel the pain and see the mass I remain optimistic.
Jesus Christ gives good gifts to those who ask (Philippians 4:19). Even if God doesn’t physically heal, either immediately or at a later time, you can be sure that you have the grace, hope, and peace to endure and even rejoice through it (Romans 5:3-5).

God bless your generous heart, all your prayers, and financial gifts are all appreciated. It is very important to us, it was kind and helpful to me and to my family. You all help me live a little better and surely extend my life. In my heart, I believe if I didn't go with IMRT on top of regular Chemo treatment, I won't be here anymore.
That in all things God may be glorified. "Tuloy and laban natin Sol".
